Very interesting work. I’m particularly a fan of the Maquette of a Devon passage house. Nice to learn about local history through visual artwork

Interesting exhibition. Love the way you have integrated a range of creative activities and the concept of movement running throughout.

I enjoy the sense of community and distinctive culture that the work expresses. The choice to work traditional materials into new forms creates a sense of continuity between past and present, of a dialogue between Devon’s traditional and present day communities. I also enjoy the texture of the knotting and physicality of the pieces. Maquette of a Devon passage house is my favourite sculpture.

Ed has an extremely energetic and mature approach to his work in Art and Design. The vitality of his personal ideas is matched by the imaginative and inventive nature of the work. His portfolio shows a high level of technical competence and achievement and he is fully able to exploit a broad range of materials, demonstrating a confident understanding of the strengths of the media through both first hand and experimental studies. He has a strong visual awareness of both the surrounding environment and artistic inspiration which is reflected in his constant use of sketchbook to record what he sees.
